We are tentatively planning a possible breeding in the Spring of 2011.  We are currently assessing a suitable suitor for our special girl Sika; a dog who has an exceptional pedigree and who we are hopeful will reach our requirements for health, conformation, working ability and temperament.  

We are very excited at the prospect of having our first litter.  Sika has excelled in the show ring, so far gaining 2 CCs and 1 RCC, and in harness where she has achieved her WWPD and is working towards other Working Dog Certification.  We are delighted with her progress in both arenas.  She has a pedigree full to the brim with some of the most outstanding UK, US and Canadian Malamutes and we hope that combining her pedigree with that of our preferred stud will enhance the breed's best qualities and build on the hard work of her breeders, Walt & Kath Howarth.

Having been the proud owners of Malamutes for over 10 years, although we will never stop learning, we feel we have the experience and passion that will help us make the right choices for our dogs and the future of our beloved breed.  We also have the guidance and support of some very good friends, mentors and experienced breeders.  We will strive to provide that same level of help and support to anyone who becomes part of the Kachemak family in future.

As longstanding members of the AMCUK, we will strictly uphold their Code Of Ethics in any breeding plans that we may consider.   We are also members of the Kennel Club Accredited Breeders Scheme.
