Presentations for the 2012/13 Championship were made at the annual BBQ & celebration. Chena this year picked up a new trophy for 3rd place in the 61-80 lb class. Unfortunately, due to being in the next class up for just one pull at the start of the season, she has missed out on winning the Championship by just 6 points. She spent the whole season winning her class and gradually make up the 30+ point deficit but in the end it just wasn't quite enough. She has though, done us so proud once again and has never stopped working hard and enjoying it.
The final pull of this season and Chena ends the season unbeaten in the 61-80lb class. She pulls 1800 lbs once again to win the class. Troy does well pulling 900 lbs in Novice.
Last but one Weight Pull and Chena once again wins the 61-80 lb class with a pull of 1700 lbs. She made it look easy but we withdrew her as she'd done enough to win her class. Troy pulls in Novice this time and we take him to 700 lb before we call it a day. His technique is coming on nicely and his concentration is improving too.
The second trek of the weekend and this time it's Louise who takes Chena & Troy out for a go out for a nice muddy run through the North Yorkshire countryside. This is Troy's third WTD leg...just one more to go!
It's a cold day with constant light snow flurries. After a tough night trek last night, the dogs who took part all seem raring to go again this morning. Once again Chena wins the 60-81 lb class with a pull of only 1600 lbs. Troy loses concentration at 600 lbs again!
The start of a great weekend at Allerton, John, Chena & Troy head out on their first night trek. 10.5 miles in freezing cold temperatures to earn Troy his second WTD leg. Plenty of wildlife on the way round to keep them all on their toes!
Louise & Troy attend one of our local Open Shows in Carlisle and we're proud to say that he came away with his first BEST OF BREED!
